Walking With God

April 24th, 2007

I want to spend some time talking about walking with God. I’m talking about more than just having faith or walking by faith, though this is a component of walking with God. Many of you already know what I’m talking about, but sadly many believers are not even aware that it is possible to walk with God in the way I want to discuss. This is about God not us. I must get this point across first and foremost, so I may belabor my point a little. It is very important that we understand that God is a person. Not the great spirit in the sky, not the supernatural being who watches over us or is ready in anger to pounce on us when we do wrong. He is a person who loves, hates, gets jealous, etc. Basically, He shares our emotions  - Remember we were created in His image! However, this person is perfect and holy and He wants to be approached by those who share in His perfection and holiness. Now before you think I have gone off the deep end, hear me out. He has provided a way for us to be perfect (whole) and to walk in holiness. Not in our own strength, but by the strength of His Spirit through His Son Jesus. He wants to share a time of communion with you just as He did with Adam before the fall. If you recall from Genesis He came looking for Adam in the garden to walk with him in the cool of the evening. Jesus, who is the second Adam has restored the creator/creation relationship and has provided a way for you and I to walk with God. I will let you, my readers ponder this for a while and I will pick up from here next week.

Hello world!

March 12th, 2007

Welcome to Heart Thoughts. Some of you have been to my other blog on lulu.com which shares this same title. This one will be similar in content, but will be updated more frequently and will contain photos and artwork for discussion. This is just another extention of The Rescued Heart Community of which I hope many will start to participate in. Please feel free to make comments, post pictures of your artwork and start up disscussions. The only thing I ask is that we stay true to the title of this blog. I do believe there is plenty of room within this context for many discussions to develop and go in a myriad of directions.
